Terms of Service

Last updated October 31, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [Legal name of the business] (“we”), who runs OogaChat. By using OogaChat, as a host or as a guest, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

OogaChat

OogaChat is a video and voice calling service with live captions and translation. Hosts sign in to create rooms; guests join with a link or a room code. Some features are marked “Soon” or only work in the demo room.

Your account

You need to be at least 16 to use OogaChat. Keep access to your email secure, since that’s how you sign in. You’re responsible for what happens in rooms you own.

Using OogaChat responsibly

Don’t use OogaChat to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else break it;
  • harass, threaten or exploit anyone, or share content you don’t have the right to share;
  • send spam or malware, or try to get into rooms, accounts or systems that aren’t yours;
  • overload or interfere with the service.

Captions, notes and recording laws. Some places require everyone’s consent before a conversation is recorded or transcribed. OogaChat tells everyone in a call when captions or notes are on and lets anyone opt out, but if you turn them on, or host a call where they’re used, it’s your responsibility to follow the laws that apply to you and the people you’re talking to. When you send oogaAI’s notes to people, only send them to people who should have them.

Captions, translation and notes

Captions, translations and oogaAI’s notes are made automatically by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Check the notes before you send them, and don’t rely on any of them for anything where a mistake could cause harm, such as legal, medical or safety decisions.

Plans and payment

OogaChat is free for now. When paid plans launch, their prices and what they include will be shown before you buy, and those details become part of these terms.

Your content

What you say and share in OogaChat is yours. You let us carry it to the people in your call, turn speech into captions and notes when they’re on, and keep a host’s recaps until they delete them, only to provide the service.

Changes and ending

We may change or stop features, and we may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms. You can stop using OogaChat at any time, and ask us to delete your account at [privacy@your-domain]. If we change these terms in an important way, we’ll update the date above and tell account holders by email.

No warranty

OogaChat is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. We don’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [State], USA, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
